Welcome to Shenandoah Farms — Est. 1970

Sanitary District & Roads

The community's roads are managed by the Shenandoah Farms Sanitary District, administered by Warren County. Here is how it works and who to contact.

Unlike many associations, Shenandoah Farms does not fund its roads from association dues alone. The roads are managed through the Warren County Shenandoah Farms Sanitary District (SFSD), a special taxing district administered by the county.

The Advisory Committee

An Advisory Committee, appointed by the Warren County Board of Supervisors, advises the Sanitary District on its fees and on the operation of the district. It holds regular meetings at the county offices. The community's own Road Committee works alongside it to set maintenance priorities.

Turnover to VDOT

The community has steadily worked to turn its road system over to VDOT, which has brought a cost savings to the community while keeping the roads maintained to state standards.

Reporting a road problem

If you notice a washout, drainage issue, downed limb, or a road that needs attention, let the office know so it can be added to the list. See the Contact page, and the Resources page for county departments.
