Capital Improvement Plan
Since the beginning, the Sanitary District and the Board have used the Capital Improvement Plan to improve and maintain the community's roads and properties.
The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) looks beyond the annual budget to the larger, longer-term investments that protect the community's shared assets.
What the plan covers
The continued turnover of the road system to VDOT has brought cost savings to the community, and additions like Kiss-and-Ride lots and parks have helped create a family-friendly community. The plan lists both external and internal projects that are being considered as well as those that have been approved.
How it works
Additions to the CIP are discussed throughout the year at both the General and Executive Meetings. During the first quarter of every year the Board holds a committee meeting to determine recommendations for additions to the CIP as slots become available. Those recommendations are then forwarded to the Warren County Sanitary District Manager for final approval.
We continually seek residents' input. If you have a suggestion, contact your representative or attend a meeting and make your voice heard. The current plan is available in the Document Library.
